Saturday Headlines: College World Series Gameday

Must read

Good morning, BBN!

The Kentucky Wildcats are in Omaha today for their College World Series debut, which will come against the NC State Wolfpack. Game time is set for 2 pm ET on ESPN.

It’s been a historic ride for the Bat Cats this season, and the hope is they’ll have an extended stay in Omaha as they compete for the program’s first national championship.

NC State leads the all-time series with Kentucky at 4-3. The last three meetings all came in the 2017 Lexington Regional, including two wins over the Wolfpack in the regional final to win the program’s first regional championship.

The Wildcats are guaranteed at least one more game in Omaha on Monday, June 17th. The winners of the two Round 1 games in Kentucky’s bracket will play at 7 pm ET, while the losers of the two contests will play at 2 pm ET in an elimination game.
