Football season is officially over, which puts basketball in prime position to take over the interest of sports fans for the next few months. Forming NBA DFS lineups is one of the most popular ways to add some action to an evening of basketball, and Monday has a 10-game slate that includes some of the best players to consider when forming NBA DFS lineups. The NBA DFS player pool includes Nikola Jokic, Giannis Antetokounmpo, Donovan Mitchell and Stephen Curry but you won’t be able to fit them all into NBA DFS lineups, so who should you prioritize when making NBA DFS picks?
Knicks guard Jalen Brunson has risen into the superstar conversation himself with his performances this season. Brunson is averaging 27.5 points and 6.5 assists per game, including 35.5 ppg over his last four games with injuries to Julius Randle (shoulder) and OG Anunoby (elbow). Should you include Brunson in NBA DFS lineups on sites like FanDuel and DraftKings when the Knicks play the Rockets on Monday? Before making your NBA DFS picks, be sure to check out the NBA DFS advice, player rankings, stacks, and top daily Fantasy basketball picks from SportsLine’s Mike McClure.

On Thursday, McClure highlighted Knicks guard Miles McBride as one of his top picks in his NBA DFS player pool on both sites. The result: McBride had 21 points, six rebounds, five assists and two steals, returning 40 points on DraftKings and 39.7 points on FanDuel. He was a key addition to NBA DFS lineups at a cheaper price tag. Anybody who included him in their lineups was well on the way to a profitable day.

Top NBA DFS picks for Monday, February 12
For Monday, one of McClure’s top NBA DFS picks is Bulls forward DeMar DeRozan, who is listed at $7,600 on DraftKings and $8,100 on FanDuel. DeRozan had 28 points, four rebounds and four assists in a 114-108 loss to the Magic on Saturday. He has scored at least 28 points in three straight games while averaging 22.5 points, 4.1 rebounds and 5.2 assists this season.
The Bulls play the Hawks, who are allowing the second-most points per game (123.7) in the NBA this season. Atlanta has allowed at least 120 points in 10 of its last 11 games and Jalen Green, who is averaging 18.3 ppg, had 28 points for the Rockets against Atlanta on Saturday. DeRozan had 25 points and six assists in their first meeting this year and averaged 27.3 ppg against the Hawks last season. McClure expects another strong performance from the six-time All-Star on Monday.
Another part of McClure’s optimal NBA DFS strategy includes Hornets point guard Tre Mann ($4,600 on DraftKings and $6,000 on FanDuel). Mann had nine points and nine assists over 27 minutes in his first game in Charlotte after being acquired from the Thunder as a part of a package for Gordon Hayward. Mann will have a huge opportunity for extended play time and the ability to shoot and create more often in Charlotte, as he displayed on Saturday. Mann played more than seven minutes just once over his final five games in Oklahoma City, but the No. 18 overall pick in the 2021 NBA Draft has shown the ability to perform when given the chance.
Mann is averaging 13.5 ppg over 62 career games when playing at least 20 minutes, including averaging 18.5 ppg when playing at least 30 minutes. Playing 27 minutes in just his first game with a new franchise is a sign of significant playing time and usage to come, and he should have ample playing time with LaMelo Ball (ankle) out. The Hornets play the Pacers, who allow the third-most ppg (122.4) and play at the second-fastest pace in the NBA, which signals more opportunities for Mann on Monday. He is a prime candidate for a breakout performance as a top value in Monday’s NBA DFS player pool. See McClure’s other NBA DFS picks right here.
