Over the last few seasons this fixture has undoubtedly been one of the standout games to look out for across the whole Premier League season.
All of the last five league titles have been won either by Manchester City or Liverpoool.
This season though, it’s a slightly different story, with neither team enjoying the success that they’ve become accustomed to over the last five or so years.

Man City head into the weekend looking to extend their six match winning streak, in which their two most recent matches have resulted in 7-0 and 6-0 wins respectively.
Those big wins have ensured the club have made it into the Champions League quarter finals and the FA Cup semi finals, so silverware is very much still on the cards this season, with the treble even a possibility.
Liverpool on the other hand have spent the majority of the season floating around the lower reaches of the top half of the Premier League.
Jurgen Klopp’s side, despite amassing 92 points last season, haven’t spent a day in the top four of this current campaign.
The Reds went into the international break in sixth place, having made a slight recovery over recent weeks, and are still very much in the race to secure Champions League qualification next season.
Liverpool are seven points off fourth placed Tottenham, but have two games in hand over the north London side.
The Reds were appearing to make close to full comeback to their best, having four out of five matches, including the astonishing 7-0 win over Manchester United four weeks ago.
However since that memorable day, Klopp’s side have been beaten by Bournemouth, the Premier League’s bottom club, and suffered a 6-2 aggregate defeat in the Champions League round of 16 stage.
Liverpool have won three of the last four meetings between the two sides, but haven’t won at the Etihad in five years, and not in the league in eight years.
