Florida basketball gets set to take on the LSU Tigers inside the O’Connell Center on Tuesday night for its 11th Southeastern Conference matchup of the season.

The Gators come in riding high off their recent home win over the Auburn Tigers on Saturday — the second signature win in three tries — and are looking to keep the momentum going. Now 16-7 overall and 6-4 in SEC play, Todd Golden’s team has a good shot at the NCAA Tournament but needs to keep the pressure on.

The Tigers, on the other hand, are a paltry 12-11 overall and only 4-6 against conference competition and are all but out of the Big Dance run. Losers of its last two and only 3-7 away from Baton Rouge, LSU has a tough task ahead.

Using the Basketball Power Index, ESPN is giving the Florida Gators 81.5% win probability and projected to come out on top by 12.3 points over the Tigers. The matchup quality earns a 74.4-point grade, putting it 13th among the games being played on Tuesday afternoon.

The Gators have the last six of eight games and are 10-1, so it’s pretty tough to bet against the Orange and Blue on Tuesday night. Florida head coach Todd Golden was thorough during his pre-game press conference while breaking down what the LSU Tigers are bringing to the floor.
