The Battle 4 Atlantis tournament has some big-name programs trying to regain their footing among the nation’s top college basketball teams.

The field is strong without an obviously dominant team. North Carolina, Villanova, Michigan and Arkansas are young teams who should improve through the season.

This should be a competitive, up-for-grabs tournament which begins Nov. 22. Here are our Battle 4 Atlantis best bets along with the top college basketball promo codes in the country.

2023 Battle 4 Atlantis odds for North Carolina, Villanova, Michigan and more

Betting lines are subject to change, but here are the Battle 4 Atlantis 2023 odds:

There are two ranked teams in the field: North Carolina (14) and Arkansas (20).

North Carolina missed the NCAA Tournament last season for the first time since 2010. Center Armando Bacot is the best player in the Atlantis field. He averages 22.7 points and 13.3 rebounds. He was expected to turn pro after last season but returned for his final season with the Tar Heels.

Three of the four first-day games look terrific: Villanova (3-1) vs. Texas Tech (3-0); Michigan (3-1) vs. Memphis (3-0); and Arkansas (3-1) vs. Stanford (3-1). North Carolina should have its way with Northern Iowa in the other game.

2023 Battle 4 Atlantis Best Bets: Villanova to win (+420 or better)

The Wildcats bounced back from a tough loss to rival Penn to rout Maryland on Friday. Guard Justin Moore’s return from a 2022 Achilles injury is the key to Villanova’s success. Moore looks healthy and is averaging a team-high 16 points per game. Villanova benefits from balanced scoring — five players average at least 8.3 points — making the Wildcats a difficult team to defend.

Texas Tech (+600 or better) is another long shot to consider. The Red Raiders are 3-0. They have become an outstanding basketball school. In 2019, they made the NCAA Tournament final game, losing to Virginia in overtime. Tech has a new coach and three transfer starters but are playing well together and could be a team to watch.

Sophomore guard Pop Issacs leads the team in scoring (11.7) and assists (3.3). The Red Raiders have a tough first game against Villanova but if they win, look out.

If you want to bet the favorite, North Carolina has plenty of talent beyond Bacot. RJ Davis is a terrific point guard who can score. Coming into the season, he had 1,304 career points. Plus, the Tar Heels have a top recruiting class starting to make an impact. North Carolina plays an up-tempo game that can be difficult to defend.
